'Goodbye 2017, Hello 2018'

The most common phrase you've seen in your friends instagram stories as the year changed. Most of us have made 2018 resolutions, mostly 'I will go on diet', 'study hard', 'working hard', 'travel more' basically a letter from 'old' you to 'new' you. Strangely enough, compared to last year, I only have 2 resolutions for 2018 : Self-love and recycle friends list.

Self-love, a term often mistaken as narcissistic and often have negative image from society, but they are different. self-love, word encourages you to love yourself, give yourself a break, be sincerely happy and heal yourself mentally, physically and spiritually. Be true to yourself, in short. Give yourself a pat when you did well on something, ask yourself whether you're really happy with your conditions. No one knows you better than yourself. Some people hear but not listen, but you listen to yourself and God. self-love is within yourself and it's your choice to be fake or true to yourself.

Not long ago, Japanese started to be a fan of minimalism lifestyle, have less stuff in their home, closets and just use several things they really need. Recycle friends list have the same concept. High school friends, uni friends, work colleague, and the list continues on. Having a thousand contact list doesn't mean you're famous and friendly. Scroll on your contact list and sort out what relationship you have with him/her. If you don't want to delete any contact, maybe you can make priority group and prioritize people who meant a lot to you, contact them often and try to keep good relationship with them, help them if you have to.

Overall, become happier is my ultimate resolution this year. I'm not good in making resolutions, so I keep it short and simple. Why bother to make a resolutions if you can't achieve it within a year?
